    Facilities: Richmond Ice Zone is an indoor ice-skating rink that offers public skating hours, figure skating lessons, ice hockey leagues, and a pro shop for equipment and skate rentals

  2. SkateNation Plus: (Henrico County)

    Facilities: SkateNation Plus is another indoor ice-skating facility in Short Pump.   3. Powhatan Ice Den:(Powhatan County)

     Powhatan Ice Den is Central Virginias newest ice rink and a fantastic asset as a full-service hockey option for local teams.  

    Facilities are available for hockey programing only at this time.  Adult learn to play clinics, 3 v 3 leagues, adult and kid stick and puck sessions, Future Caps learn to play sessions, Hockey U, and additional hockey programming is available for families / skaters.  The Powhatan Ice Den does NOT host public ice skating.

  4. Southhampton Ice Rink (Richmond Virginia)

     Southhampton is a small rink located in Richmond, Virginia.  The Southampton Rec Center has ice hockey clinics, figure skating lessons for all ages including adults, and open skate times. There will also be a couple of weekend Ice Socials that the whole family can enjoy. Please note that this small ice rink is for Members Only; the ice rink is NOT open to the public.   • Public Skate - this is the perfect way to try out ice skating with friends and get in some practice for those of all skill levels!  There are multiple public skating times at Richmond Ice Zone and Skate Nation Plus throughout the week at various times.  

  • Ice Skating competitive teams are available to try out for.  

  • Learn to Skate - These 8-week classes happen at Richmond Ice Zone and Skate Nation Plus on a ongoing basis all year long.  This is a great way to learn the foundations of skating no matter your age. The classes are grouped by skill level and there are so many helping hand staff members on the ice.  Each lesson is 30 minutes, followed by a 30-minute free skate to practice!  These classes are AMAZING and worth every penny!
