  • Splash a Nutten Toddler / Little Kid Zone This exciting splash pad and activity pool has spray jets and fun for the whole family including new slides and bubblers.  My toddler stayed in this section of the outdoor water park at Massanutten Resort for hours happy as can be!

  • Rockingham Racer Slide Let your competitive side run wild on this four-lane, headfirst, downhill water slide. Starting 40' up, grab a mat and race your friends and family 296-feet to the bottom.  This slide is so much fun to watch and record family racing each other to the end at the outdoor water park at Massanutten Resort. 

  • Valley Vortex Tube Slide On this yellow and orange enclosed tube slide riders will zoom around tight corners and high-banking turns as they’re sent around a tight coil, experiencing extreme G’s. This tube slide at Massanutten resorts outdoor water park is like being at a party! Be sure to keep your eyes open, as sections of colorful lights will delight and amaze. This slide is built for single or double tubes for one or two riders at a time.  Guests under 42 inches tall are not permitted on this ride.

  • Peak Plunge Tube Slide On this green & white open flume slide, sensational twists, turns, and drops create an exciting ride for everyone. This slide is built for single or double tubes for one or two riders at a time.   • Mass Mayhem Tube Slide This new slide at Massanutten Resort’s outdoor water park is a huge hit!  Experience the zero gravity sensation of weightlessness as you plummet over 47’ down the half pipe and get vertical! This will leave you breathless! This slide is built for double tubes for two riders at a time.  Guests under 42 inches tall are not permitted on this ride.

  • Outdoor Basketball My boys and husband loved hanging out by the outdoor basketball hoops and shooting around at the outdoor water park at Massanutten Resort.

  • Obstacle Water Course The older two boys spent hours doing the obstacle course at the Massanutten Water Course.  They had so much fun racing each other and trying new ways to get across faster while we were at the outdoor water park at Massanutten Resort.

Mom Tips Before Heading to the Massanutten Outdoor Water Park

  • Pack light so you can fit everything inside of a locker easily.

  • Wearing pool shoes that can be indoor /outdoor is a great idea especially for children. The walkways can get kind of slippery, and the outdoor pavement gets HOT in the summer on feet.

  • Pack your waterproof phone case so you can snap photos without worrying about your phone getting wet! It’s also a great place to add a debit card or ID for drinks and food without having to make a run back to the locker.

  • Dress your children in neon bright bathing suits and swim shirts. Being able to spot them in lines and around the water park will save a lot of stress for parents trying to keep eyes on multiple children.

  • You will need to bring your own life jacket or floaty for non-swimmers!

  • The waterpark clears out in the late afternoon if you want to go at a less crowded time plan on staying until close!

Where Can I Buy Tickets for Massanutten Outdoor Water Park?

Save time and money by booking your WaterPark tickets in advance on the Resort App or online. Online tickets must be purchased at least one day in advance.

Do I need Separate Tickets for the Massanutten Outdoor Water Park and Indoor Water Park?

No! If you are visiting Massanutten Resort during the summer and warmer months your ticket to the water park is good for both the indoor and outdoor water parks for additional water park fun which is a great added bonus!

How Much Do Tickets to Massanutten Outdoor Water Park Cost?

The ticket price for admission to the Massanutten Water Park depends on a lot of variables. Things like age, what day of week you are visiting, how tall you are and whether you are a Gold Card owner all factor in. Tickets are cheaper if you buy in advance and go during the week. if you are looking to save money on your waterpark tickets this is a great way to save for an entire family or group!

At most tickets are $53 for an adult if purchased in advance and $38 for a child in advance. You can find the exact breakdown for ticket prices and variables before you purchase here.

Ages 2 and under are free to the waterpark.

Do I need a Cabana at Massanutten Outdoor Water Park?

It really depends - we did not rent a cabana at the outdoor water park and it was fine. We had no issues finding a seat in the shade while at the outdoor water park at Massanutten Resort and we were there the weekend of 4th of July, so it was busy!

Massanutten Outdoor Water Park has 3 Cabana Options:

  • Premium Outdoor Cabana | Up to Eight People | $275. This cabana option at the Massanutten Outdoor water park is equipped with two lounge chairs, a five-piece modular couch, two deep seating chairs, coffee table, low profile table, ceiling fan, electric service, and cooler to keep your beverages cold. Rental also includes 16 bottles of water, four WaterPark towels, WaterPark logo bag, $50 Diamond Jim’s Arcade card, and service from our friendly cabana hosts when you book this cabana at your Massanutten Water park outdoor visit.

  • Deluxe Outdoor Cabana | Up to Six People | $220 This outdoor Massanutten Water Park outdoor cabana option comes equipped with two lounge chairs, two deep seating chairs, a deep seating loveseat, coffee table, ceiling fan, electric service, and cooler to keep your beverages cold. Rental also includes 12 bottles of water, three WaterPark towels, $30 Diamond Jim’s Arcade card, and service from our friendly cabana hosts while you are at the Massanutten Outdoor water park.

  • Standard Outdoor Cabana | Up to Six People | $170 Standard Cabanas at Massanutten’s Outdoor water park are equipped with two lounge chairs, four dining chair, three low profile tables, ceiling fan, electric service, and cooler to keep your beverages cold. Rental also includes six bottles of water, two WaterPark towels, and service from friendly Massanutten outdoor water park cabana hosts.

    Cabanas at the Massanutten Outdoor water park could be a great option if traveling with family members who want to sit for longer periods of time and be out of the sun. This could also be a great option for those with babies or small children who may need to take a nap during a Massanutten Outdoor water park trip but do not want to leave the water park.

Can I Buy a Season Pass for Massanutten Outdoor Water Park?

Yes, season passes to the Massanutten Water Park are available for purchase to use an unlimited amount during the summer season. You can save money on the summer pass the earlier you purchase! Depending on when you purchase you will pay as high as $275 and as low as $179 for adults, $200 for students or as low as $130 if you buy early!

You can also purchase annual passes for the waterparks too. This gives you unlimited visits to the waterparks year-round! This would be such an awesome gift to someone who lives close to Massanutten or visits often! The prices vary a bit for the annual pass but right now, the cost is $425 for an adult, $375 for a student (includes college as well) and lower for Gold Card Members.

You can add unlimited locker uses to your passes as well for a great value.

Season passes and annual passes are an awesome cost for unlimited visits for anyone who travels to or lives near Massanutten. This would make an amazing gift for someone as well.

Can I do everything at the Massanutten outdoor water park in one day?

You definitely can hit all of the water park attractions at both indoor and outdoor parks in one day. There is more than enough time to ride every slide and experience all of the

Dining Options at the Massanutten Water Park

There are 3 dining options while at the Massanutten Water Parks.

My family preferred the food options at the outdoor water park at Massanutten. There were healthier options and the ordering was much easier. If you are visiting while the outdoor water park is open, I would recommend dining at the outdoor water park options!

  • Chill Grill has tons of entree options and plenty of salad choices if you are looking for a healthy meal.

  • The Chill Grill Slideside has a myriad of delicious adult beverages to choose from as well, which I highly recommend. The Chill Grill Slideside is located in the outdoor water park.

  • The Snack Shack is located at the indoor waterpark and has quick counter options like hamburgers, personal pizzas, desserts and deli sandwiches.

Massanutten Resort Outdoor Waterpark Hours

The hours of operation for Massanutten WaterPark are dependent on day of the week and month in which you visit but for most of the year you can visit the Massanutten waterpark between the hours of 11:30am - 7pm. Early Access to the Massanutten Water Park Outdoors

On Mondays from June 27 - August 8 an hour before it opens to the public - 10:30 - 11:30 AM you can feel like a VIP and enter the park early! These early access tickets are $15 each.
Feel like a VIP as you experience the adrenaline rush of MASS Mayhem, Peak Plunge, Valley Vortex, and Rockingham Racer an hour before your fellow adventure seekers arrive. This is a limited experience and tickets must be purchased in advance. You must have a ticket to the waterpark for the same day you purchase Early Access. No other waterpark attractions will be open during early access. Guests under 42” tall may join a paying adult free of charge for the Early Access Hour.

This would be an awesome addition for a group of adults or adults with older children who want to ride the 4 newest and biggest rides that the Massanutten Waterpark has to offer that typically would have lines. This would make a great gift for someone experiencing a birthday while at Massanutten too!
